I originally went to school for nutrition, not design. However, it didn't take long after graduation for my creative juices to start flowing, so I began learning Photoshop by designing stationery for friends. This quickly turned into a business making invitations and other types of prints. At the same time, I became fascinated by cake decorating shows and eventually left my job at the hospital to work at a bakery, creating elaborate cakes. My sweet tooth definitely got the better of me!

A friend reached out for some UX/UI help on an app he was building (back when the app store was just becoming a thing). I jumped at the opportunity and spent countless hours lost in YouTube tutorials and Lynda classes. Fast forward 15+ years, and I've co-founded three startups, led design at a small agency, and then transitioned from an in-house IC product designer to a management role at a crazy, fast-growing (some might say unicorn) startup. From there, I led a global design team of 150+ designers at an international crypto exchange where my direct team had 15-20 designers and managers. Along the way, I also led design for a 0-to-1, AI-powered PII compliance platform, designed and launched an EV charging app and countless other projects. The diversity of my experiences has provided me with endless learning opportunities and these experiences have fueled my passion for building strong teams, fostering collaboration, and creating meaningful business and customer impact. Outside of the virtual office, I'm often in the mountains riding bikes (all the bikes) and skiing. Feeling like a grain of sand in a vast landscape and the state of flow inspire me. Food, adventure and photography bring me joy. My brain is happiest thinking about complex problem spaces.
