EVCS

I joined EVCS after a long stint of managing and leading large teams of designers. After not touching Figma for several years, I wanted to take a break from leadership and jump back into the IC world to brush up my on my Figma skills and refresh a bit. 
EVCS is a very small team with limited resources. The company is primarily funded by government grants, which is exclusively for the installation of EV chargers. Our product team is less than 10 individuals and we must operate with extreme efficiency. I was brought on to help gain consistency across the brand and improve the customer experience across all digital interfaces.

Getting Started

I worked with the engineering lead and product to define the scope of the project and the must-have functionality. We also prioritized the problems with the existing app that needed to be fixed in the new experience. The existing app was not owned by EVCS and we wanted to bring this entirely in-house giving the business control over the UX and data. The previous experience was flawed in many ways and impacting the bottom line.
